Comparative Analysis of Riverbanks Retrofitting Planning Using Strauss Pile and Ground Anchor

Abstract This research was conducted to reinforce the sheet pile located on embankment of Ciliwung Lama river – Inspection Road (RSCM) in Central Jakarta. The road is beside riverbanks collapsed for 40 m and position that slopes towards river. Based field observations analysis stability carried out, road’s collapse not due unstableness but inability receive lateral soil pressure. method used Plaxis 2D Software analyze reinforcement applied withstanding planned uses a Strauss with sling ground anchor. In retrofitting, using pile, diameter 0.4 meters, length 9 D32 distance between slings 2.5 meters. Ground Anchor retrofitting be 27 long, 159 mm diameter, 88 body grout. Compared Safety Factor occurs anchor, safety factor greater. pile’s obtained by 1.75, while anchor 1.55 without considering earthquake load.
